Something to Look Forward to is 'English Only, Please'

The Metro Manila Film Festival is weeks away and to an entertainment blogger like me, the trailers are what helps me decide which one to watch first and what to expect from each entries. This year, one movie that I will surely watch is Quantum Films' 'English Only, Please'. It stars Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado. This is the first time that the two will work together and EOP is the only rom-com in this MMFF line-up.

I love the trailer, the teaser alone which was released weeks ago was funny, but the full trailer gave me more LOLs. Derek Ramsay is very different from this one, he's not your usual two-timing husband. He shows his comedic side in EOP and he mentioned that this was him when he first came to the Philippines. Someone who doesn't speak Tagalog at all. Jennylyn Mercado on the other hand shows lots of promise in the rom-com genre. This can be her new niche. I love all her comedic scene and her lines are to watch out for. Especially that last scene from the trailer. Jennylyn is currently my best bet to in the 'Best Actress' award.

The chemistry between them is not pushed and it looks so natural and it ooze with charisma. Watch the trailer below, which became viral the moment it came out. I also added my exclusive interview with Jennylyn Mercado and videos from our 'English Only, Please' bloggerscon. The movie is directed by Dan Villegas and also stars Kean Cipriano, Cai Cortez, Isabel Oli and Tom Rodriguez. Let's watch 'English Only, Please' as it opens December 25, 2014.
